Despite many denials on the part of Sony, it has been announced that there will be a price drop of the 60 gig version of the PS3. It will drop from $599 to $499. There will however, be a 80 gig version of the PS3, bundled with a copy of MotorStorm to cost $599.

I wonder if there is any connection with PS3 price dropping to the news that Microsoft extending the warranty to the 360.. Still trying to keep your head above water aye Sony?
